Abstracting the landscape – Painting Workshop
Saturday 1st February, 11am
Join visual artist Niamh Hynan for a morning of abstracting the landscape. In the workshop you will be encouraged to create your own landscape painting. Niamh will bring in some of her paintings and explain the techniques she likes to use.
The practice of gestural abstract painting is energetic and engaging. Niamh will guide you through a range of ways to create different gestural marks and forms to capture the essence of your landscape. Colour will be an important part of the finished piece.
Participants are invited to bring photographs of a landscape (1 or 2) that they would like to use for this abstracting the landscape workshop. Please wear suitable clothing/apron as this is a painting workshop.
