Here in Offaly you have a number of great cycling options through a series of scenic routes to choose from where you are free to explore at your own pace and take breaks whenever needed. The choices of terrain on offer range from hill climbs up to the Slieve Bloom mountains to flatland so a trip may be planned which will tax the seasoned cyclist’s ability or alternatively will make for a holiday of gentle exercise. The Cut at an elevation of 430 meters in the Slieve Bloom is located on the mountain road between Mountrath and Clonaslee and provides an incredible viewpoint across the valley. For those looking for a longer endurance challange to discover the region try the Slieve Bloom Village and Heritage cycling / driving route.
